Welcome to Salina, our new Tai Chi & Qi Gong teacher!

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Salina, who will be holding classes at our #Coulsdon clinic starting this week.

Salina is a martial artist experienced in the art of Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong are ancient martial arts originally from China, and still used today to promote a healthy mind & wellbeing. They combine slow and deliberate movements with breathing to enhance circulation, joint mobility, balance and body awareness. Bringing relaxation to body and mind to help alleviate stress and anxiety whilst improving the immune system and mental clarity and focus.

According to the NHS, studies have shown that practising Tai Chi can help reduce stress, improve posture, balance and general mobility & increase muscle strength in the legs. It is a low impact exercise which doesn’t put pressure on the bones/joints and involves flowing easy movements, which makes it suitable for all ages.

Specialising now in movement, breath and body work Salina hopes to bring a more holistic approach to treating and training the body, bringing ancient wisdom together with modern attitudes making her approach inclusive and practical for all.

Salina is also experienced in Capoeira, Boxing and Weapons training, and a black belt in Phor Kune Kung Fu.
